SEO (Search Engine Optimisation)

When you type “bed” into Google, you’ll end up with around 23,000,000 pages matching your search. In the 0.009 seconds your search took, Google went out to the web and grabbed all the pages which mentioned “bed”, or “beds”. Then Google ranks them in order of importance so, luckily, you don’t have to.

But how does Google rank these pages? There are three main areas Google takes into consideration when ranking sites:

• Content – relevant, interesting copy
• Links – from and to other sites, and linking within your site
• Technical – meta information, site architecture, HTML

Get these three areas right and you might be able to retire in a couple years, depending on your industry.

SEO delivers targeted, hungry visitors who are so far down the purchase decision path they’re actually knocking on your door, not the other way round. Two words: Gold. Dust.
